Churches Action exists to achieve recognition for the huge volume of social care and social action undertaken by local congregations and organisations.

We are a partnership of ten denominations with support from para-church and other Christian organisations working in the city, including the Evangelical Alliance.

We have networks across all Christian denominations and agencies throughout Glasgow, and with the City Council, Health Board , Scottish Executive and Parliament.

Churches Action has carried out a carrying out a social action survey, DataNet, which will enable us to:

Reflect a city-wide picture of the Christian contribution to social action
Put people in touch with others doing similar things
Provide links and information to help new work develop
